Philip Kennedy

Philip set up his own studio in 2008 and over the years has been collaborating with clients on a range of projects that have included editorial work, albums covers and book jackets.

Philip really enjoys creating work for a children and in the past has worked with museums and publishers to create entertaining and educational materials for young readers.

He developed his career in Lisbon, Edinburgh, London and Copenhagen. In 2014 he graduated from Kingston University, London with an MA in illustration. Before that he had studied History of Art and Fine Art at the National College of Art & Design, Dublin.

Outside of his studio he has worked in art education and continue to coordinate and facilitate workshops for children and teens. He also works as a visiting lecturer. Currently he is writing Illustration Chronicles—an online project that explores the history of illustration.
