The History of VIZ Comic in 75 Minutes

Cleere's Theatre Bar

From humble beginnings as a badly printed, badly drawn, unfunny comic, to the much better printed, badly drawn, unfunny comic it is today, Viz has become a national institution. Join long-time Viz editor, writer and cartoonist, Graham Dury, as he takes you through the highlights of forty years of the magazine which was deemed “not as funny as it used to be” by issue two. After his hilarious* presentation, Dury will amaze you all by drawing a selection favourite characters from the comic and answering questions from the audience whilst suspended over a cage of lions**.

*level of hilarity may have settled in transit.
**lions subject to availability.
